The Swiss Institute for Children’s and Youth Media ISJM develops and runs various projects to promote reading among school-age children. These school projects provide playful encounters with books, to promote reading for pleasure and create and maintain a positive image of the written word.

BouC’S gives schoolchildren a playful, social and cultural introduction to the written word. By offering students a space and time dedicated to books, BouC’S invites them to forge meaningful links with the written word and aims to ensure greater equality of opportunity when it comes to reading. ISJM organizes authors and illustrators visits directly in class to allow students discover the different facets of these professions, discuss the process of producing a book, and share their love of words and/or drawing.
