During the summer holidays, almost every second student loses their reading ability. It is the toughest for students who already struggle with reading.
The reading project Reading is the key (Läsa äger in Swedish) promote a reading community and raise reading role models for children and young people. Together we can reduce the declining reading trend. Now it is a reading network all over Sweden. Every summer, teachers, leisure teachers, guardians, librarians and holiday interns create reading-promoting environments during the summer holidays.
Because of the great interest in this model and project it is now being turned into a book, that is launched on April 7th, 2025. In the book, Anneli Glamsare and Lovisa Fhager Logothetis from The Bonnier Family Foundation tells you all about how you can start your own Reading is the key project.
