The TREFFPUNKT is an international meeting of around 120 authors of children’s and young adult literature from German-speaking countries and other European countries that has been held every two years since 1964. The aim is to exchange ideas and discuss current issues and challenges in children’s and young adult literature. The focus is on imparting knowledge and promoting dialog with one another. The main topics are the change in the promotion of reading and literature and its organization. The presentation of the Bödecker award by the Federal Association of the Friedrich Bödecker Circles to a children´s and young adult author is a highlight of the event.
