Bookstores have been demanding 40-50% of the revenue from publishers for book sales, which has led to an increase in book prices and a decrease in sales, and this especially has made it difficult for young people to access books. As an alternative to this monopolization of book sales, we have launched the “Let’s open Kitabistan bookstore” campaign. With the support of our readers, we have been able to implement the following after opening the Kitabistan bookstore:
- All books are on sale with a 30% discount.
- We don’t charge interest from the sale of young writers’ books to support them.
- We use our revenue to support the publication of Kitabistan’s next publications, the education of children from low-income families, and the creation of libraries in regions.
